Mastercard, the global payments giant, has taken its foray into crypto technology to a new level. The company recently announced its partnership with Immersve Web3 payment protocol, enabling clients to transact cryptocurrency through digital mediums, physical stores, and virtual reality realms. This groundbreaking move marks Mastercard’s entry into both the online and metaverse arenas – making it one of the leading companies transforming traditional financial systems.
Immersve-Mastercard Partnership Will Be able to Trade with Web3 Wallets Without Using the Tool
By joining forces, Mastercard and Immersve are enabling a transaction protocol that lets customers utilize cryptocurrency with their existing Web3 wallets to make direct payments to merchants who accept Mastercard. This allows users to make secure payments without needing an intermediary for collateral.
App users will be able to gain access to this feature via renowned Web3 wallets and use their private keys for confirmation of payments. Immersve CEO Jerome Faury commented on the matter, demonstrating his positive outlook towards crypto-related use cases; “By collaborating with a well-known and esteemed brand, we are making substantial strides in mainstream adoption of web3 wallets”.
By partnering with Mastercard and Immersve, Web3 wallets and decentralized finance protocols are offered the opportunity to leverage Immersve’s APIs and smart contracts to transact across any location that accepts Mastercard.
Mastercard Continues to Progress in the Crypto World
To strengthen its ties with the cryptocurrency ecosystem, Mastercard has been actively engaging in collaborations and offering incentives for businesses over the past few years. One of these strategic partnerships was between Mastercard and Binance’s crypto exchange, which enabled them to launch a prepaid card in Latin America – making it easier than ever before for customers from that region to join in on this digital financial revolution.
On the contrary, users enrolled in the Mastercard–Immersve partnership can access a card that allows instantaneous crypto-fiat conversions for 14 tokens in Brazil. At its commencement, several advantages were announced, with up to 8 percent cash back on eligible purchases and select zero-cost ATM withdrawals being among them.
